“Like a wildflower; you must allow yourself to grow in places you never thought you could.”
I’m so excited to share with you all my first blog post! I hope you are all having an amazing Labor Day weekend! The weather here in Massachusetts has been perfect lately, so Mitch and I decided to get out of the house and try something new. We all have been fighting a cold lately so we’ve been cooped up in the house and this was a nice change of scenery. I did a little research and 30 minutes from our house is a pick-your-own fruit, flowers, and vegetable farm called Parlee Farms. We (more like me) decided we wanted to try the pick your own flowers first.
The flowers that were in bloom right now were sunflowers and zinnias. We stopped at the hut to pick up a water bucket & shears that the farm provided and we were on our way to make a fresh bouquet. We walked up and down the rows of flowers looking for the perfect ones to take home, & hoping a bee didn’t decide to come home with us. Once our bucket was full, Eden and I got a few photos snapped by our wonderful photographer (shout out to Mitch Moretti). After the pictures, we went back to the hut and had our flowers weighed and paid. By that time, Eden was napping in her stroller and Mitch and I had pizza on our mind. It was so much fun being surrounded by a field of wild flowers with my two favorite people, I can’t wait to go back for more pick-your-own fun.
Thank you for reading & I hope you enjoyed my first blog post!
