Eden is turning ONE on Tuesday! I can’t believe how fast last year has come and gone. In honor of Eden’s first Birthday on Tuesday, I’ve started a series on my blog called “Eden’s Birthday Week”. This week I will be sharing all things Eden!
First, I’m going to share some of my favorite moments from Eden’s first year. It was so hard narrowing down, because every moment with her has been my favorite! So these were just a few highlights that I’ll never forget. I’ve also included honorable mentions at the bottom, which are some hilarious photos of Eden!
The day we brought Eden home to my parents house from the hospital. A fun tradition in my family is that on everyone’s Birthday my dad hangs up this Birthday cake flag outside. It was so special to carry on this tradition with Eden!
My good friend Laura, from Laura Danielle Photography, took photos of us and I’m so glad to have these memories. When I look back at these photo’s Eden looks so tiny; I can’t believe she was that small! I’ll be sharing even more photos later on during the week so be sure to check back!
Eden, Ollie, & myself made the 3,000 mile move across country to be with Mitch in Boston. I’m so glad I had my mom fly out with me, I couldn’t have done it alone with a dog and a newborn! We fell asleep during the flight and Ollie ended up walking up and down the aisle to get petted by everyone! LOL. We were so happy to be reunited with Mitch!
Mitch got free box tickets to a Boston Red Sox baseball game from the USO at his work and we had a blast! We got to watch the game in a special section that had heaters and tv’s, it made sitting outside in the cold much more enjoyable. We even had our own server, best chicken strips & blue moon I’ve ever had lol. It was also a promo night so we got these huge Papi Ortiz chains that made little Eden look like she was a baby rapper, we could not stop laughing.
Mitch’s parent, Mike & Kathy, flew out to visit with us and we had so much fun showing them around Boston and just relaxing with family. I definitely started to get home sick being so far away from family, so this was a nice visit.
We celebrated Mitch’s first Father’s Day and he made so many memories with his baby girl!
My parents, sister, & niece flew out to visit us for the 4th of July! We went to a local firework show & had a delicious BBQ with our wonderful neighbors, the Boston Aquarium, & took them to all our favorite restaurants around town.
Mitch had a tournament with the Coast Guard rugby team in Denver, Colorado and my brother, sister-in-law, and niece lived there so this was an extra special trip getting to visit with them. We visited the Denver Aquarium, my brother’s Jiu Jitsu studio, and had so much fun seeing a new city and visiting family.
It was the end of summer so we tried to soak up as much sun as we could before winter! We went to the Boston Public Garden and flower picking at a local farm!
This was the beginning of Fall in New England, which was cold, but absolutely beautiful! We went Apple picking and squeezed in one last beach day before the cold weather hit. Luckily for us though, we were on our way to sunny California. We got to celebrate our nephew’s, Carson and Jackson, 3rd and 1st Birthday! We also went to Leah’s Halloween party as the Snapchat butterfly filter and had our family photos taken.
This month was full of adventures. We drove to New York City to visit with Hastin, Jennifer, and, Zoey. My mom and Aunt Carlie, came to visit us in Boston and we all drove to New Port Rhode Island to tour the Vanderbilt mansion.
This month was full of reasons to celebrate! We celebrated Eden’s first Christmas, Mitch’s 27th Birthday, & welcomed 2017 with New Year’s Eve!
Honorable Mentions – Some of the funniest candid moments we snapped of Eden. Enjoy!
